@laurenrelf_: 5 things I’d do differently if I was starting maternity leave all over again ⬇️ If I’m honest… there’s a lot I wish I knew at the beginning. Because nothing really prepares you for this stage of life. The drop in income. The constant mental maths. Wanting to be fully present with your baby… but also feeling the pressure of money in the background. It’s an emotional tug of war most people don’t talk about. So if I could rewind, here’s what I’d do differently 👇🏻 1️⃣ I wouldn’t expect maternity pay to “just work itself out” I kept hoping each month would feel easier financially… but it didn’t. It was a cycle of stressing and stretching every penny. 2️⃣ I wouldn’t convince myself “that’s not for me” I spent way too long watching other normal mums like me make money online. I wish I’d started sooner instead of overthinking it. 3️⃣ I wouldn’t let fear keep me stuck I kept waiting to feel ready… but no one ever feels ready. Things only changed when I started, even though I had no clue what I was doing. 4️⃣ I wouldn’t leave it until the end of maternity leave Trying to figure everything out right before going back to work was overwhelming. Having something already in place would’ve taken so much pressure off. 5️⃣ I wouldn’t doubt myself so much We handle sleepless nights, endless feeds, and everything in between… we’re more capable than we give ourselves credit for. Over the last few months: 🤍 I’ve managed to create 4 figure months constantly from home 🤍 I’ve done this all from my phone around naps, feeds and everyday mum life 🤍 I now know when I’m pregnant again I’ll never struggle on £187 per week maternity pay No experience. No big audience. Just figuring it out as I went. If you’re coming towards the end of maternity leave and feeling that pressure creeping in… I get it 🤍 If you’re curious to know more, comment or message me “START” and I’ll send you my free beginner guide ✨ Make sure you’re following so I can send it over xx #maternityleave #earnfromhome #mumlife #sahm #maternity
