A research defense should not be something to fear, it is not an attack, but an opportunity to show how well you understand your study. It is normal to feel nervous, but remember, you know your research better than anyone else in the room. The panel is not there to embarrass you, but to help you to improve and strengthen your work. They are not looking for perfection, but for clear understanding, honest explanation, and the effort you put into your study. If you are asked a difficult question, it does not mean you are wrong, it simply means you have a chance to explain your ideas more clearly. Speak calmly, take your time, and trust your preparation. You are not being tested to fail, you are being given a chance to present what you worked hard for.

I remember this😭 since nag aaral ako sa feu (Far Eastern University) everything's fine nmn since confident kami sa research namin ng bff ko and i was their leader din @Felix @Xyler —even though sobrang hirap ng binigay nila samin, as if one of a kind ba😭as in pinagkatiwala samin yung part na 'yon cause our panelist know we can handle it, so we chose to not disappointed them because we're really grateful for them for trusting us, for seeing what we're capable of, kaya kabog talaga kami, todo explain while smiling, syempre with hand gestures and with extra files pa 'yan na akala mo lawyer sila😭 pero nandun pa rin yung may halong biruan to maintain a calm atmosphere. So in the end, ayun we passed, but also at the same time, 'di ko na alam gagawin ko when suddenly a lot of those students na taga ibang sec really begged and asked me to give them some advice about how to defense their research😭 I mean, I'm willing to give them some advice and teach them pero teh😭 dumadami sila and tawag na nila saken "Miss Perfect" kahit may saltik ako at soafer oa/extrovert since birth😭 Kaya masasabi ko na lang talaga 'sana 'di ako nagpakitang gilas' 😭 Eh kasi ba nmn nakasanayan ko na kasi lagi akong leader sa lahat ng sub nung i was in 8th grade😭

Way back 2018, sa defense namin pinapray ko na " Lord, alisin mo po ang anumang kasamaan sa aming magiging panel"😭😭 .... Di ko din alam bakit ko nasabi sobrang kaba siguro at puyat narin😅😭😭

nag defense kami last week, advice lng tlaga ng advisers namin na wag n makipag-argue sa panelists. Researchers kasi sila from other college within the univ and kmi ung pioneers nung colloquium 😂 kaya ayun, puro agree lng kmi abt sa recommendations nila na nasa paper nmn talaga. Tas sasagot lng nag direct to the point abt sa qs nila and wla na other extra info na maglead to more qs lol

Actually in my first defense kinakabahan ako since kami na lng yung last section na d pa nag-defense. When presenting okay nmn d kami ginisa or what more on suggestions kakabahan ka lng nmn if may mali sa paper mo eh.
