@rollingwithjess: I wanted to make a video with a brief explanation why I’m having an amputation because I know alot of people will assume it is for my CRPS, however my amputation is due to the very severe damage my arthritis has caused, and the CRPS is a factor that has complicated things. I just want to put a bit of a disclaimer, if you have CRPS and are considering an amputation purely because of CRPS, know there is a very high possibility it will not get rid of your CRPS, the nature of CRPS is very strange and it will very likely travel to your stump, if you have any questions about it please feel free to message me. Also I do apologise about how long this video is its just so hard to explain in like just a minute so I apologise for probably wasting 5 minutes of your time 🤦♀️ VD: the video shows Jess a 19 year old girl with long brown hair tied into a ponytail. She is sat on her bed talking directly to the camera. The text over the screen reads “I have had my foot amputated - a little explanation. Please feel free to ask questions” End VD. #amputation #tmramputation #juvenilearthritis #jia #crps
You did such an amazing job of explaining this so clearly and eloquently in a shorter form video! 💗

What is the likely hood of CRPS coming back. I know that you can touch your stump to reduce the likelihood. It’s okay if you don’t want to I was just curious.

I was diagnosed with JIA at 2 years old, luckily I grew out of it recently (when I was 12, so three years ago), you’re so strong and brave 😊

You saying that all the reasons are ‘putting it very simply’ while it is such a big range of trouble for a person girl!! It isn’t simple and I hope it helps you!

Squishes make perfect limb supports! Big respect on your decision and approach to arrive at an informed decision. Elective or not any life altering intervention is a very difficult option to take. I hope this brings you the relief you seek. My 40 years of JIA has really taught me that function and pain control is what matters to live life
