They can’t because Sam took credit for the aesthetics and makeup looks in season 1 from this polish lady who had been working on it for years. During the earlier stages of the show, they let her go once they had her ideas, and he took ALL the credit. I believe what we’re seeing in season 3 is the result of what Sam wanted all along, and what we had in the first season with labrinth’s soundtrack and Petra Collin’s aesthetic was why euphoria felt like euphoria. We lost her aesthetic in season 2, but since we still had labrinth, we didn’t really notice
