@ryosumita: This is Mt. Karamatsu in the Northern Japan Alps. The contrast between the deep blue sky and the pure white snow is absolutely breathtaking. While the gondola takes you up to 1,830m for easy access to these stunning views, stepping beyond the lift area means entering a serious alpine environment. 🎒 Mandatory Gear (Severe Winter) If you climb during this season, you absolutely need: • 12-point Crampons • Ice Axe • Hard Shell Jacket & Pants • Winter Mountaineering Boots • Helmet • Goggles & Balaclava 🔰 For Beginners If you don't have winter experience or gear, the best time to visit is July to October. You can enjoy safe hiking with beautiful greenery and autumn leaves! ⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING This is a severe winter climb (Jan-Mar). High winds, extreme cold, and whiteouts happen frequently. The weather can change in seconds. DO NOT attempt this hike without proper winter alpine experience and gear. 📍 Access from Tokyo 1️⃣ Shinkansen: Tokyo St. ➔ Nagano St. (1.5h) 2️⃣ Bus: Nagano St. ➔ Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal (1.2h) ⏱️ Total: Approx. 3-4 hours.
