@mommiyonnax6: Moral of the story is make sure you understand what you gettin your self into & communicating with your lender I hope this helps someone who could be going thru similar circumstances .#storytime #reposession#debt#capitalone#loanlender
Because your loan and your interest rate was a lot higher than the value of the car

Cause the first two or three years, you’re paying mostly interest instead of principal

$600 x 60 months = $36,000 This was a &20,000 car. And you still owe $12,000. All you wanted was a nice car. Didn’t care, didn’t do the math.

I do this everyday. You have a balance, the sale if the car goes towards the balance. Any fees like repairs, title work, ect will be tacked on to the balance. If you was paying a bank the car went to auction which didn't sell for very much. This is just a quick reference.

This is why they need to teach finance in school!!! It took me so long to understand financing, renting, mortgages, leasing, interest rates, depreciation, appreciation and everything else!!!! You’re not alone! You just weren’t informed! And it’s easy for people to say “Google it”. If you don’t understand it, it’s hard to just read about it.

Of course they sold the car. Capital One took it to auction and sold it. They are trying to recoup the money loaned to you to buy the vehicle. This is why you should study finances and understand credit.
