I have found the geese to be really good grazers. I used to have to mow my grass every four days, and it would take me four or five hours in the spring when the grass was growing fast because I had to empty the bag so much. Now I only have to mow once every week or two depending on the time of year just to even things out and I only have to empty the bag a few times. I have two geese on about 1/2 acre of pasture and got them specifically as low maintenance lawn mowers. The male is Chinese and the female a Chinese pilgrim cross.
