you know what’s crazy is that for a good chunk of GTN i really hated harrow for how she treated gideon. and then for the last 1/3 of the book i just wanted them to have forever to figure out how to treat one another well (lol @ myself for this) and then at the end i wanted harrow to go postal and destroy the whole world with the force of her grief and rage. and then HTN absolutely gutted me, the same way she did to herself in that book what i wanted her to do to the universe. and every time i read NTN i keep coming back to what crown says about the fate of whole world resting on poor gideon’s **** (but still impressively buff) shoulders and now i feel like a lunatic balanced on a razor’s edge between two craters of madness: one needing EVERYONE to suffer for what they’ve done (but john and ianthe especially) and the other just wanting the whole world to fuck off so griddlehark can have a forever to be together and learn how to be better to one another. but of course realistically i know shit is going to get batshit in a million directions i couldn’t even dream of anticipating and i’m not actually confident that griddlehark are going to get even five minutes to address any of their shit 😭😭😭
