@groundupadventures: This affects hikers, anglers, hunters, agriculture, small businesses, rural communities and gateway towns, and so much more. It affects you, me, and the people that have dedicated their lives to making these spaces safe and accessible for us to use. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened (throwback to the BLM cuts), and when it did it was devastating and truly wrecked some of these public spaces. I’m begging you to care. I know we’re tired and that it’s been one thing after another. But once this is done it can’t be undone. These decisions are being made at the blink of an eye with no input from the public, and that should be really concerning to us. Flood your reps phone lines and inboxes, have the hard conversations in your community, and show support to your local forest service employees - THEY NEED YOU. These beautiful spaces were so lucky to recreate and work in NEED YOUR VOICE. And to be frank, I need your voice, too, as I use these spaces to help educate you about how to be safe, responsible stewards of these lands.
