@fjoz: Riyadh Ahmed (July 1, 1951 – March 8, 1997) was an Iraqi singer. Born Abdul-Ridha Mazhar Najm Abdullah Al-Sabahi in a village in Tanuma, Basra Governorate, southern Iraq, he loved singing and music from a young age, becoming famous for his beautiful voice that carried the flavor of his southern Iraqi environment. His career began when he joined the Military Theater in 1971, where he met a group of artists, instrumentalists, and musicians who praised his voice and advised him to audition for the radio. During that period, Riyadh participated in a large number of plays, including "The Spark" in 1972.In his early career, he formed a successful partnership with composer Jaafar al-Khaffaf, producing several songs during that period, including "Just Words," "The Time Has Come," and "Once Upon a Time," all of which achieved widespread popularity. The song "The Time Has Come," written by Nizar Jawad in the mid-1980s, won the award for Best Iraqi Song in 1986. He passed away on March 8, 1997, from a heart attack he suffered after leaving a concert, bringing to an end his artistic career, which spanned more than 25 years. #رياض_احمد #الفن #العراق #iraq
