You should call your local tyvek rep to have him come show you how to do it the correct way. They will literally send a guy out to show you for free how to properly flash everything.

I believe your supposed to cut each corner on a 45 and leave enough house wrap to do the entire opening, especially the bottom

Who ever thought you to do it that way should really take a course in carpentry and learn how to do it properly so that the 4 corners and the opening is wrapped to protect against leaks , I’ve got over 30 years experience and I’ve never ever seen it done like that well maybe by a first year apprentice , fell free to message me on some advice Pryor to doing your next project, trust me you won’t have any negative posts

all the people hating he's doing it to manufacturers spec, maybe set up a consult with Tyvec, or Marvin windows and see how they reccomend their window holes wrapped. He's doing it 100% right for warantee. The future is now.
