@theplantslant: Replying to @chair.44 3 cans of pinto beans drained, 1 onion, some garlic, 2tbsp lard and cumin. Super simple and highly recommend @Jose el Cook #refriedbeansrecipe #beans #refriedbeans
I make mine with ✨bacon fat✨ instead of lard…10xs better👌

Make it again with some lime juice at the end. I’m not a bean fan but I’d be curious how that tastes. Also, if I want the benefits of beans but hate beans what would your advice be?

Real lard is important in baking pie crusts. Otherwise it is usually a tossup.

I don’t use lard. They still taste amazing like you said. But you know what you do need to try? Chorizo in your refried beans!

I used bacon fat, and I’ve never used a blender… juice n all go in the pan and I use a potato masher cause it’ll only get like 60% of the beans

Simmer beans with 1c chicken stock (I usually drain and rinse first) Sauté (diced) onion, garlic, jalapeno the blend everything and season with red pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cumin then fry in the lard. Might be missing a thing or two but that’s what I do for the most part.
