I believe in this case a standard ball joint or barbell joint for each spine might work well

Or you could do smth like this, the base of the quill has a ball joint that sticks out a bit and then the quill has like a bowl with the socket in the middle, the bowl will be shallow enough to allow it to move around but also big enough to fiver up the joint. It would keep the clean silhouette unlike the revoltech joint and still be able to move

Yo better idea for the quills, you should use swivel joints because if you put ball joints instead, then the joints are exposed yet swivel joints has the right articulation yet looking a lot better hope you like this idea!
