@hexumlitee: This video is just my opinion not fact on getting higher education. I believe it is very important to do so and if you miss out it may show socially in my experience and opinion not Fact with comedy and satire for entertainment purposes
School is mostly about recalling information, while most degrees teach you how to actually interpret and be critical of it. I did molecular biology at uni and aside from what I directly learned, I feel like it’s made me much better at dealing with complex ideas, rather than just believing what I’m told. I know it sounds kind of pretentious, but higher education really is important for letting people grow themselves, rather than being formed by the opinions of others

I actually do agree with this, I do think it is very important. You can also tell who may have tried vs who did not. I think toward the end/early adulthood you see the gaps pretty intensely

College teaches you a lot about social interactions and human psychology. The maturity difference between a senior in high school and someone who did a semester away is insane. For the same reasons, im a big proponent of boarding school.

Never stop learning and have a growth mindset when it comes to new things. It's a waste to not do anything hard in your 20s.

I didnt persue higher education, school ends at 16 here, and yet I am on of the most introspective people who can have nuanced conversations. Its mainly genetical/upbringing imo. Although I am aware I could just be an anamoly

Fluid intelligence and iq doesnt change from the ages of 18-22. People with high iq are the ones who tend to pursue higher education, arguing other wise is like saying basketball makes you taller because nba players are tall.

Your causal arrow is mostly in the wrong direction: going to and finishing college selects for the traits that push someone to collect information and push themselves mentally. The average 4-year graduate (among those who are like… actually supposed to be there) probably aren’t far off mentally from what they’d be if they hadn’t attended college. I say this as a college grad btw before anyone calls it cope
