He was a pantheist. He said he believed in Spinoza god and he also said things like “I am a part of infinity” which shows he had a profound view of his place in the cosmos. There is a book called “I am a part of infinity” by Kieran Fox. It outlines Einsteins religious ideas and he calls it a sort of “cosmic religion” which is nothing like Christian and much closer to atheism or Hinduism
