Dress codes/appropriate clothing and Nuance is incredibly important. And people don’t want to listen 🫩. I had to take down a video that got over 5 million views bc people could not consider that more than one thing can be true. To try and make it concise: there was a child (They had a kids con badge which meant 13 and under) cosplaying a fictional 🌽⭐️from an adult cartoon at a convention. I made a video stating I am a CSA survivor And I was concerned for child’s safety. That is ALL I said. YES cosplay is for everyone. BUT a CHILD cosplaying a 🌽⭐️is NOT safe. BOTH. ARE. TRUE. I was not blaming the kid 😭 I was concerned about any content with the kid in it (even if made with good intentions) could end up on the wrong side of the internet. I was concerned the child may have been being groomed. I was concerned about the kids home life bc either parents were unaware of the type of content their child was consuming and didn’t think to ask about the character, or knowingly allowed their child to dress up as a 🌽⭐️at a PUBLIC. CONVENTION. “The kid might connect with the character” they can connect to the character without cosplaying as them.

I dont even think Sabrina was wrong for saying it was weird when she thought it was yodeling. yodeling at a concert during a quiet part loud enough for the artist with in-ears to hear you over the crowd would be a weird thing to do. yes its very unfortunate that that wasnt the case of what was happening and its a learning moment for her and many other people. its all our first times on the planet, we are learning every day, and if you arent, you should be!

You can buy clothes that fit into the masters dress code at Walmart. The dress code doesn’t state your outfit must be expensive.

I was ready to defend SC after just reading what happened but then I watched the video and I still don't understand why she said that she said. Even if they were yoddelind, why be mean about that? It's a music festival ffs, not a mass. Why try to embarass a fan in such public way over nothing? I'm glad she decided to apologize. In a grand scheme It's nothing so please whoever reads this comment spare your time trying to scold me. I will still think her reaction was a bit rude. All people can be rude sometimes.

I think this is the result of the most “liked” responses being treated as the correct responses by so many people on these apps. Person sees video, goes into comments, reads most liked comment, begins parroting that opinion without full understanding of the larger conversation.
