i always have 2 meta teams for the abyss and when I'm done building them i go back to farming for my diluc team, as that's what i like to do in the game. there's nothing wrong with playing how you want, and there's nothing wrong with playing meta, but if you intend to actually understand how the game works you can't just pick 4 random characters and hope they deal damage together. genshin is a game with complex mechanics, multiple team building options for most characters and a lot of characters who only fit a niche and can't be used unless they have their specified team. so ultimately play how you want but don't be surprised when your team deals no damage if you don't know the first thing about team comps or character build, coming from someone with 2500+ hours in game

I main whoever was on the banner when I started because I am immature person who can't save Primogems and am extremely jealous of people who have new characters so I don't play the game anymore but I freak out and say what's wrong with a 4-star starting character being my main when someone mentions having Furina.
