@the.lost.myths: Yuki-Onna – The Snow Woman Long ago, in a small mountain village in Japan, winter storms were feared more than anything. The snow would fall so heavily that even sound seemed to disappear. One night, a woodcutter named Haru was caught in a blizzard while returning home. The wind grew stronger, the path vanished, and the world turned completely white. As he struggled through the snow, he saw her. A woman stood in the middle of the storm, untouched by the cold. Her skin was pale like frost, and her long dark hair moved gently with the wind. She did not leave footprints. “Are you lost?” she asked softly. Haru could only nod. She told him, “Follow me. I will show you warmth.” But something about her voice felt strange… like the wind itself speaking. She led him deeper into the snow-covered forest, where no village lights could be seen anymore. The cold should have killed him… yet he felt strangely calm near her. Then, suddenly, she stopped. “If you speak of me to anyone,” she said quietly, “you will never find your way back here again.” And just like that… she vanished into the snow. Haru woke up at the edge of his village at dawn, unsure if it was a dream or something real. But every winter, when the snow falls too silently… he remembers her words. And he never speaks of her again.#Thelostmyths #japanese #myths
