Try the drawer in a different place.I have a dresser that is similar and I also painted it pink I had to play around with the drawers.

You should see if that drawer fits in any of the other slots better. I had a dresser where the drawers had to be in specific slots or they all wouldn’t fit (even though it looked like they would) bit of a Tetris game sometimes
