Hey, just did this last week and it didn’t work. Was still blocked. But maybe because it had already detected that I was in China? It also took hours to work again after leaving China.

I used VPN in China and had no issue with Tiktok. Even more if I'm on cell phone data it works. Only used VPN when on WiFi. Your situation is not same for everyone. No need to turn location off
