I was a Day One Survivor fan, and I’ll give you a third option, because the “survival” aspect was never a big part of it for me. Survivor needs to focus on the GAMEPLAY. It’s a game, first and foremost, and for some inexplicable reason, Probst is hell-bent on stripping away the ability of players to play the game and replace their agency to make choices with random chance. Go back to basics on gameplay; stop taking away their votes; stop randomly shuffling the players into weird little groups; just let them vote normally!

I don’t even wanna see the immunity challenges anymore. They’re boring relay races that end in a puzzle. I wanna see people standing on a post for as long as they can while he tempts them with pizza and snickers bars.

Survivor was great when it was39 days and the jury would bust the balz of the last last 3 . The show has gone soft and Jeff is to friendly with the players.

From the earlier seasons, what I miss are those montages of them trying to learn how to catch a fish or learn how to make a campfire in a shelter and being strategic with where they placed their camp. It was more of a social experiment element that is totally gone these days.
