Beyond the Bridge :
Bought a bread maker a month ago and have been making my own. Organic unbleached flour, water, salt, sugar, olive oil, yeast. Throw it in and three hours later I have a fresh loaf.

American bread slices often do not break apart in water because they contain high levels of additives, dough conditioners, and preservatives (such as azodicarbonamide, potassium bromate, and BHT) that make the bread elastic, rubbery, and shelf-stable. In contrast, Australian bread (similar to European styles) often uses simpler ingredients that allow it to break down naturally in water.🫵💀
