The funicular is worth it if you’re not in physical shape to climb those 190 steps. The price of the ticket is nothing is chump change.

If you have a daily metro pass, you can use it on the funicular. I did it last summer! It saved me from all those stairs. 😅

Was there last week. Should have seen all the pissed off people because the funicular shut down for maintenance. Walking up the stairs did kinda suck though towards the top.

Take the Metro and get out on Lamarck-Caulaincourt, up the small set of stairs and turn left on rue Lamarck. The walk from there is not as painful and so nice.

We took a little train. It started at the Moulin Rouge and took a little tour around the area. Then dropped us off at the top of the it. It was worth it.

Funicular is a must especially if you have other places to go to or of you are with more elderly people. But I get it that for an able-bodied person, it's totally ok to do the stairs

I got grabbed by 2 bracelet scammers and they were trying to pull me toward them, while both my hands were in my jacket pocket, while I was yelling "no! ARRÊT!". They only stopped when they saw police slowly walking around the corner.
