Its a cute idea, but watermelon plants get very big. 1 plant alone will outgrow that pool very quickly. Multiple plants is unsustainable in the pool. Why didnt you just plant it directly in the ground? On a side note, I saw a comment about pumpkins. Pumpkin vines grow 20+ feet and have huge leaves. I recommend raised garden beds or directly in the ground. Also, avoid spray paint in the future. I hope it turns out well. Gardening is a huge learning experience and takes years to gain good knowledge.

I've only read 3 comments, all were negative in some way. Good lord people! Let this woman have a great learning experience with her son. She could be in the house looking at her phone while he plays Xbox. I think this is really great!!!

i was thinking put the holes in pool and grown the plants under the pool so the watermelons aren't directly on the soil so they don't get a gross soft spot. mine had rot on the bottom before they got ripe. The soil may have been too wet. We had a bunch of rain that year and it was my first time growing watermelons
