@casabolanos: Make public transport sexy again ❤️🔥 I didn’t get my license until I was 24, I didn’t need it 🤷🏻♀️ growing up in NYC our public transportation system was 24/7 and took you where you needed to go, or close enough to walk In fact, I used to walk 1.5 miles to work and then back again because it was just so walkable Moving to Orlando was the worst culture shock because the city was so INACCESSIBLE 🙄🫣 you can’t walk anywhere + there’s no infrastructure connecting neighborhoods without a car. Buses? Ha! A 15 min drive would take 2 hours on their Lynx system So when people ask why Medellín, this is why! Medellín’s metro system is clean, safe, and reliable. We can also walk everywhere we need to go. No car needed and it’s such a relief to live in an accessible city again! Even when we travel, we look for public transport or even city bikes!
