This hits so hard. I lost my home to a flash flood during Hurricane Ian in 2022, weeks had no home owner insurcae and litterally lost 80% of our things. But with no control of anything besides finding somewhere my cats, dog, dad and I to safely stay while we figured out our next steps.. and during that time, the phrase “home is where the heart is” became something I genuinely can understand and live by. As long as I had my babies and my dad in a safe home I was happy. We ended up staying at an Airbnb a couple towns over, my job transferred me to the closer location, I made new friends, Had a new beach to chill at, I weirdly felt the happiest I felt in a really long time having nothing besides my fam, car, and I think we had about 4 bags of clothes/ important stuff from our entire lives. My car also ended up giving out after two weeks cuz it literally was driving us through 4 feet of water at one point lnao and my insurcae paid me for it , I used a good amount of that money to full send a trip to Brazil with my bestfriends at the time right when we were moving into our new home. Anyways this video is a very amazing perspective to live by
