Even worse when you have agoraphobia on top of the depression 🥺

This comment section is so sad. You’re not too mentally ill to work bb you’re just stuck in a system that isn’t willing to help you :( therapy, individual research, and coaching can all help w executive functioning it’s just not accessible enough:/ sending sm love to everybody here❤️

I’d rather not have a job and wait till I’m mentally well enough and stable enough.. instead of getting a job and getting fired for not being able to show up for my shifts.

babe honestly there is something you can do, short shifts , near home even if it’s boring like packing boxes. it’ll make you feel better to know you have some money coming in and some routine . there are some really understand managers out there ♥️♥️

I struggled with this for years.. but one day you gotta realize you gotta force it because you will not be able to progress forward in your life without income. Right now I’m in a job that takes a lot out of me but I’m going through this phase so I can get to the next and trust I’ve quit job after job after job like within days. This is actually the longest job I’ve had. I know it’s easier said than done and it takes A LOT but you gotta find that one little job even if it’s niche or part time, just something to help your income because just sitting in that rut makes it so much worse 🥺

Coming from personal experience, anything 1000% away from customer service is doable.

DoorDash if you can. It’s saved me. I work when I want and work as long as I want.

Man, I’m literally about to call into work cause I can’t mentally do it and I honestly think it’s because I work in customer service, but I get so nervous now like I can feel the breakdowns coming before they start and I hate it and myself because I used to be fine and now it’s like I can’t do anything

I want to work so desperately, I hate not doing anything, but I have such severe anxiety and panic attacks daily that I absolutely can not function as a normal person and people act like I like being this way, I absolutely do not like living this way. I wish people understood it more and wouldn’t call me lazy or a bum cuz of it, I have dreams and aspersions but I genuinley can not chase them right now..

Surviving is already a full time job. I do some things here and there, but there's days where I survive and that's enough

I work full time with my mental illness. As a result, I genuinely have like no life outside of it. Work is exhausting and I’m lucky to be able to hold down a job. Not everybody can and that’s fine

I thought the same then I found a job where I literally did not have to interact with any customers and almost no interaction with my coworkers, built up the confidence and got in a better place now I run the department :)

I can’t hold a job at all. I actually just quit last night. I was doing so well. I held a job for over a year, no call outs but then the burnout hit so I found a better job, better pay. After my third day I couldn’t do it anymore. I’ve been in bed all day, slept most of it. Being alive hurts so bad
