I disagree. My MILs 8yr old cat drives me nuts and demands attention and caregiving from me. He meows at me, follows me, gets into EVERYTHING causing even more stress for me. For burn out... I get out in nature and enjoy the wildlife. Nature heals ya and expects nothing in return except a thank you.

When I’m with my animals I feel more at peace, however it’s a lot of cleaning, refilling water and food etc. but I’m still at peace. Everything else feels so hard😮💨! Don’t even talk about me having to fold laundry 🥺😩🥴🫠😷

I immediately got myself a dog when I had to move in with my mom who has Alzheimer’s. I knew I couldn’t be there alone without a companion for myself

Caregiver to my 87 year old granny, she lives with me. I truly believe this as my peace comes when she’s sleeping and I go to the barn and spend time with my horse and dogs ❤️🙏
