@meganabero: As many of you have noticed my content has changed recently, Jesus took ahold of my life and I felt convicted by my social media presence. I was encountered by God just a few short months back about the way I was living. I’ve been a “Christian” my whole life; attending church and growing up in a Christian household. I was baptized as a kid, thinking that’s just what you do. As I went on in life I really started to lose grasp of who God was. In the last 2 years I would go to church sporadically to say “I was a Christian” but live for the world the other days of the week. I kept telling myself “I’ll live now, have fun, and give my life to Christ later.” Little did I know I was digging myself a deeper hole. Partaking in sin that was slowly making me lose myself, I called my friend back in December and told her I hated who I was becoming. I was struggling with loneliness, lust, pride, and following the crowd. I wanted to feel a sense of belonging so I started drinking and using nicotine when I was around the crowd I wanted to fit in with, and I completely lost my identity in Christ. Each time I would find myself in tears with guilt as I knew what I was doing was wrong but I wanted so badly to keep the relationships I had. Eventually, the last night I lived like that I was scared and embarrassed of myself that I drove away from the situation and God met me in my car. I felt like my life was just falling apart and I had no where to go, I started to pray (the first time I really had in months) and I felt an overwhelming sense of peace, and I just knew that was God telling me he’s got this. Since that day, I decided I want nothing more than to completely commit my life to him and share how he changed my life.
