my mum had the same employer for 45 yrs, used to say the same stuff about jobs/hand delivering resumes etc. she retired but got bored. wanted a new job - went & hand delivered a SINGLE laminated (LAMINATED) resume & cover letter to a job she found on Seek, got an interview somehow, they declined her & she rings back and asks why!!! they said cos she's too experienced for a receptionist job. she replies "I only want a little job cos I'm bored at home so give me the job I'll be good at it". she gets the job. I was like, fk outta here 😂😂😭😭 omg
