I try my best to avoid framegen but I absolutely will use dlss 4.5 model m quality at 1440p with pathtracing and I run a 5080

Can you help me i am struggling to choose which gpu i cant choose between 5070 and 9070xt (70 euro price difference) i play 1440p fps games and like to play 4k single player games. I dont know which one bc dlss keeps getting better and the one from amd is just 💩 so i dont know which one i should choose

Ok. I have a 5090. Use dlss quality or balanced. Sometime even mfg x4 if it runs well on the game without to much latency.

Dlss makes a cleaner output, pixel for pixel better than native when well implemented so you get a ghosting advantage as well as clarity. Check out the dlss is magic video or df vids for how many pixels they needed to equal or beat 4k with it for some titles usually 1600p to 1900p as input. If one doesn’t like the upscaling you just supersample or dlaa for ml based aa over taa. Native feels wasted cause you pick your poison and get what you want.

I love dlss bcs it look some Time better than native AA (sad tbh) and frame gen is cool feature to be able to play with a sensation that the game is smooth (it need a good base fps without it) but it works to max out every game and still get the benefits of my 240hz monitor

i use dlss 4 or 4.5 on quality, just cuz the anti-aliasing is cleaner than fsr, but fsr is still solid for games that dont have shading artifacts from aa, but if its not a big deal, then imo fsr performs pretty solid too, just wish it was a lil "smoother" post-process

We cannot deny DLSS/FSR is useful to some degree, that new ai reconstruction in DLSS5 is absolute bs and even though I own a capable nvidia card there’s no way I’m using that.

when I upgrade to a 5070 I won't use dlss 5 but I will use super resolution as that seems to be the only valuable option

is it really worth it? :
I don't use it because escape from tarkov doesn't do well with dlss i get a lot of ghosting and blurring from the PIP scopes. Other than that i think its great.
