Carrot cake is a spice cake with carrots in it, it doesn’t have to have walnuts or raisins or pineapple - but it better have cream cheese frosting!

I could probably just google this but how do you get your carrots not to turn green when you bake?

as someone with a nut allergy and hates raisins, carrot cake just has to be a spice cake with carrots 😅

I love walnuts in my carrot cake, but to me the thing that makes or break a carrot cake is…carrot (commented as I’m eating a carrot cake without nuts or raisins lol)

I mean, it’s called carrot cake not raisin cake. The raisins are optional.

Absolutely hate raisins and nuts in any baked goods. It's always a total bummer

I often find blueberry scones and muffins to be bland. Happy to hear that you add lemon zest, because that usually helps boost the flavor. Your cinnamon rolls are gorgeous and I wish I could scarf one down right now!

Interesting that the cinnamon roll & dinner roll dough is the same. My cinnamon roll dough is a sweet dough while my dinner roll dough isn’t. Also carrot cake better not have raisins in my book. 🥰

if you put raisons in my carrot cake you are banned from easter. wlanuts are on thin ice. my mother tried to put coconut, walnuts and pineapple in the carrot cake and she was immediately banned from making the cake

No raisins anywhere near my carrot cake (or any other food for that matter) and I prefer walnuts as a garnish on the outside of the cream cheese frosting because I like them to stay salty and crunchy.

Carrot cake can just be carrots. But carrot cake is just vegetable cake, just like zucchini bread. However, both are delicious 😂
