If ik this, I’m this ngl I would have stuck with nursing, I feel like this field can seem so competitive and intense sometimes, and honestly it can feel so discouraging as a student. Thank you so much for being kind and sharing your knowledge and experiences

This is exactly my story!!! Paid for a training course, was able to put on my resume, applied to sooooo many. Learned what they are looking for through multiple interviews. I got hired at a med spa and now I’m learning the basics (lasers, microneedling) and once I have those down they are training me to inject. I have been applying for 5 years and just got a job in it. It’s possible!!

So I have a 1.5 yr of experience as a derm MA and graduate next May with my BSN. The office I work at doesn’t do much aesthetics and doesn’t hire nurses. When do you recommend I apply to med spas? Now or should I wait closer to graduation? Is there anything I should be doing in this next year? Can i take these aesthetic classes as a student?

Hey!! I have questions about my skin. this my skin currently. i have uneven skin complexion/tone, congestion, sebaceous filaments on nose, pores on cheeks, post acne pigmentation (dark spots), texture and bumps, dehydration and dullness. I’ve been using tret for the past 2 years but it’s not helping i feel like it doesn’t help with the little bumps on my forehead. i have combo but very dehydrated skin. im thinking about basic microneedling but obviously i would rather listen to you and get other advices
