Think about it: * Side delts → need shoulder abduction you can progressively overload * Upper back → pull-ups don’t isolate true scapular retraction * Glutes → hard to overload hip extension + abduction properly * Abs → need spinal flexion + progression (not just hip flexors) * Countless other muscles have the same problem You can build a physique with calisthenics…but you can’t optimally build key aesthetic muscles. side delts: overhead pressing so pike and handstand push ups upperback: scapular pull up, australian rows, front lever pull ups if advanced glutes: fair enough the best you can really do us a pistol squat abs: dragin flags. also most calisthenics movements already require decent isometric strength abs also dont really need to be well developed

Horizontal bodyweight rows, bodyweight handstand pushups, hanging leg raises if you do them right to not use hips (top half range motion only) and dragon flags, situps etc

Shoulder abduction can be done though using resistance bands or a weighted backpack and doing lat raises. Scapula retraction can be done with pseudo planche push ups, pull ups, or scapula pull ups. Not everything has to be an isolation exercise

For abs hollow body hold or dragon flag and for shoulders you can just train for planche or even a handstand all of these train the shoulders even tho it might not be isolated it is still working and also push ups or it’s variations also train the shoulders and for glutes you can do hip bridges or something like that I forgot its name but glutes also work to keep your form during most of the exercises

u can do retraction by doing a kelso shrug in a australian pull ups position. which how i always end my set after hiting one arm australian pull up to failure ( even add a chair to make it harder )
