Tosya's off opioids, we're reducing other pain meds she's getting IV, and it was going okay, reducing Ketamin by 0.1ml, appetite was good, pain was managed... We tried to speed it up a bit since her central venous catheter got infected. We started reducing by 0.2ml daily, smoothly. And yesterday she showed pain and refused food. I'm stressed and upset, went to feed her at night, she picked at food a bit and that's it. We added Lidocaine and - voilà! - she ate with appetite this morning ❤️ It's great she's eating, of course. But sad that her tummy still hurts without constant pain relief 😔 We'll slow down the reduction and hope her CVK doesn't fail, since she's run out of peripheral veins... In a month, on her two and a half legs, it's been a huge strain on her veins. That's a big problem. So we keep believing in the best, hoping our girl will recover and be home soon 🙏🏻 For now, I'll keep visiting, draining, talking to doctors, coping with stress, believing and praying 🤍"#dogshelter #searchinsightcreators #fyn #awareness #animalshelter
