sometimes its because they are too overwhelmed and need space and they cant handle the person. i have learnt to adapt to this AS AN ANXIOUS ATTACHMENT person and sometimes its really not their fault for acting that way. ik my bf loves me tons and tons and doesnt mean it.

I genuinely believe our education system is missing something important. We spend years preparing people for careers and academics, yet very little time is spent teaching healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, communication, boundaries, red flags, self-worth, and how to recognise emotionally healthy versus unhealthy behaviour. Yet so many of society’s struggles are deeply connected to relationships heartbreak, loneliness, toxic dynamics, mental health struggles, family breakdowns, and emotional trauma. Technology changed relationships rapidly, but emotional education hasn’t evolved at the same pace. Relationships shape individuals, families, children, and future generations. Maybe it’s time we started treating emotional education as important too. 🙏🏾🤎

OR Maybe your partner shouldn’t have to sacrifice their sleep to regulate your emotions. I am speaking from experience. I used to feel this way and I was convinced he didn’t love me. But honestly I was making it pretty hard to love me when I kept insisting he was hurting me or upsetting me all the time. I’m not saying this is the case every time I just think people are way to quick to paint their partner as a villain for not rushing in to fix all their pain. Love yourself and then it won’t matter. You don’t need reassurance. You need to learn how emotionally regulate yourself.

One night I was drunk and I hate crying in front of people but I genuinely wanted to see how he’d react so I just sat on my bed crying while staring at him and he didn’t take his eyes off the YouTube video he was watching and I felt so embarrassed because I didn’t expect no reaction at all
