I’ve been on E85 for three years on my mustang and my oil has never looked like this, I have a catch can too.

Pro tip: upgrade to a high viscosity to delay the dilution. 5w30 go with 5w-40

Yeah you got bigger problems 😭 I’ve been on e85 now for months, idle my car for 30 minutes before I drive it daily and just changed the oil and it looked nothing like this lmao

Wouldn’t an oil catch can be able to help with this

First off that’s what happens when you don’t have a catch can and secondly that’s what happens when you let your vehicle idle for a short period of time and don’t actually drive it around. I run in 98 in my truck and I have never had this issue in changing the oil

Gotta use oil that is capable of handling the break down e85 does to it they sell oil that can handle it

Add a catch can, use thick oil, I use 10w30 on my Silverado l83 when running full e85, you using e85 you need to daily drive it, if you don’t daily drive, only use e85 when you drive, when you are done and the car sits put pump in it.

What if I run E periodically, say about 350 miles out of 3@k is it still recommended to change it sooner than 3k?

I have a diesel truck and I installed a lift pump onto my truck which has a fuel water separator, I wonder if it could be applied to 85
