@_ooliviamackenzie: This is a very vulnerable post, but if it can help anyone with not feeling alone I want to be open. It is sexual assault awareness month, I am a victim of SA. If you are a fellow victim, you are NOT alone. It’s not your fault. I was young. I was confused. Lost, not able to understand why It had to happen to me. And I learned to accept I never will. But I refuse to let my trauma define my existence. I am stronger, emotionally intelligent, bright, and it was NOT my fault. I was 11, and I faced the emotions that were strung along with all of the trauma. This doesn’t define how life will turn out. I will never be silent, I will use my voice.
