Microchip FOUND BAR. Doesn’t like restraint. healing wound to face. Pet has been prescribed Doxycycline for 28 days as part of our new heartworm therapy. Pet is to go home with remaining Doxycycline prescribed. RX: Doxycycline 100mg Tabs – 10mg/kg(Round down) BID x 28 days. Shelter Observation 9/28: walks on leash, wags tail. 9/29: Possibly barrier reactive, jumps up on gate and barks when approached, able to leash and walks to yard, not interested in pets, snaps at gate if reaching. 10/7: When approaching kennel pet was quiet and alert, accepted treats gently. Was easy to leash and walked well to the yard. He pottied immediately outside, sniffed around and approached for attention. Likes treats, knows “sit” and “shake”. 10/11: We passed several dogs in their kennels, and he didn’t bark once . He loves exploring his surroundings and has a very sweet, affectionate personality. Playgroup Observation 10/3: This dog is social, vocal, can hover over others, can be awkward during greets, and behavior may not be accepted by all dogs in yard.
