I know this may shock you all, but being a diabetic doesn’t mean you are not drunk. EMS in this situation sucked! They gave him hard candy which is a choke hazard especially for someone with a falling BS! And they should have taken him to ER!

As a husband to a type 1 diabetic, the proper range is 90 to 120. Some can function just fine at 70 but if they are dropping rapidly, they will show signs like confusion, heck the eyes can even get glossy like they were drinking. 54 is really low, much lower and there is risk of diabetic shock or worse.

never thought I would see an officer care about it being him that hooked that guy. then he proceeded to label him as dui meanwhile he could be having sugar issues, issues sleeping. not everything and everyone is bad automatically
