He tried to walk off the truck and his legs gave out. Right now he’s lying on fresh straw, too weak to stand, breathing hard. We made it. That’s the good part. But we spent every shilling we had just to get him here. Transport took it all. Now comes the part where he actually gets a chance to live. He needs a vet on him tonight for fluids, pain management, and a plan to feed him without overwhelming his system. He needs special feed, bedding, and someone watching him through the night. We have the space and the people, but the funds stopped at the gate. I know this is the part where I usually say “we can’t do this without you.” That’s because it’s true. We used everything we had to bring him here. If we don’t get help now, he stalls right here—safe from the street, but not safe from what’s already breaking him down. If you can donate today, you’re paying for the first 48 hours that decide if he pulls through. Even a small amount covers feed, meds, or the vet call. He’s here. He’s alive. Let’s make sure that means something. I’ll update you tonight on how he’s holding up.
