Everyone in the comments says to just give the ID, even though the cops don’t have the right to demand ID. He’s standing up for his rights and all of our rights. Cops need to follow the law and constitution and should be held accountable if they violate it.

To go to jail over this is stupid. You could’ve gave them your ID and still proceed with a lawsuit, but I think it’s a waste of time. Gotta stay away from the videos. unpopular opinion, but the police operated within the limits of the law. of course they were jerks about it and pushed it to the limit. The real outrage is this - a system that is supposed to protect the accused can be utilized in a way to oppress them all while obeying the rules of that system.
