And how do you get tested for those? because they certainly are not routine lab tests from regular yearly visits to my medical clinic. And my health insurance will not pay for those tests.

30 different plants, wild salmon, Sardines, fermented foods, probiotics. And I’m just trying to afford frozen packs of broccoli so my kids can reject at least one plant a day. Can Sardines be canned?

Interesting. Where is the study that I can read more about this? I was reading about certain gut conditions/infections being confirmed to be cause of amyloid plaques developing in the brain via the vagus nerve, but the study I read didn’t mention the specific microbiome implicated in the process. It also said that there would be other factors in the brain that would make it susceptible to the reaction

Please, cite an animal study that proves the MOA. I have seep experience as a PI in field, and I doubt it. Human dementia testing is too noisy.

“Scientists” can predict it but doctors don’t test for it. I have family history (grandma, father), but I’ve never been asked about it.

I'm turning 50 this year about 4 or 5 years ago I had my appendix out also in that year I suffered from a horrible horrible ear infection that basically debilitated me. The antibiotics that I was on messed with my stomach and lower intestines so bad It took years to sort of stabilize. A side effect of this whole mess is my ADD came raging to the top And took over my life. Looking back through my childhood and younger years I can see where the signs of ADD were there but I was able to function in society successfully.

This was my final year project. Such a fascinating topic and such a fun dissertation to write. My topic specifically looked at the effects of probiotics and dietary interventions on cognitive function in cognitively impaired and healthy older adults.
