@reem.ca1: Went to “Virtual Reality” standup comedy show by Alaa Abu Diab over the weekend in Ottawa. This is his newest special: a comedic, brutally honest dive into the world we think we’re living in, versus the world that’s happening while we’re too busy refreshing our notifications. I’m not exaggerating, this was one of the BEST stand-up sets I’ve seen since Bassem Youssef’s show two years ago. Cleaverly written, great execution of jokes, and unexpected punchlines delivered in the funniest way possible. It felt relevant, fresh, and genuinely entertaining from start to finish.
