My boss did this to me when I returned from my first maternity leave, then refused to give me a role after "temporarily" reassigning mine to someone wise and laid me off when I returned from my second maternity leave. 🙃

I was forced to go per diem because we couldn't find any daycare. there was like a year wait at the time for an infant. or it was completely unaffordable. I never got my full time position back once I was able to get her into a daycare. I left and got a better and more flexible remote position
