You’re so right how it just taints everything. The last birthday I had with him was the 2nd ever he actually planned something for me, and I felt so loved and cared for. Only to find out like 3 days later that he was saying horrible things about me behind my back that day and subscribing to OF when I had told him that is the ONE thing I am not comfortable with. It makes me think how nothing he did was actually… real. That sucks so much.

the way i’ve been coping is compartmentalizing “my person” and the person that is now presented in front of me. it helps me in understanding that reaching out to this person will not help me grieve my person. but it’s also given me the space to genuinely miss them as the person that i thought that they were before they made the choices they did

I think… lying does make you a bad person. Lying and cheating are just not the traits of an upright guy; I don’t want my friends to be liars or cheaters either … it’s really hard to reconcile the person you believed them to be with the reality of who they are. Your actions never cause a person to lie to you and cheat on you. That is the excuse of someone unwilling to take responsibility. If they aren’t happy, they need to treat you like another living, human person that has autonomy and deserves respect and talk it out or break up.

I don't mean to have this sound like I'm making your video about me, but, like, are we the same person??? I'm (sarcastically) getting creeped out. Mine offered a roof when I was losing my apartment, food when I weighed 97lbs (vastly under the healthy 120lbs I should have been,) and the stability financial security could afford (I come from extreme poverty)
