I don’t think enough debut authors or authors in general talk about how hard it is to do in person events and the mixed emotions of having to cancel book tour signings or Q&A’s when not enough tickets are sold to actually make it worthwhile for everyone to put on the event (as it’s everyone’s time, money and energy). I felt quite disheartened last week about the decision which we made as a team, but I’m excited to reschedule and have longer to promote the event and sell tickets as this has all been a huge learning curve.
