@slayover50ugc: I completely understand why some people may not recognize or understand that dementia doesn’t look a certain way. When we hear the word Alzheimer’s disease, I think it’s common to imagine much older person in the final stages of the disease. But the truth is we all start at stage one and work through it. It’s also important to recognize that aperson with Alzheimers can jump around in stages. From what I understand, the disease isn’t linear. I believe that the trajectory of the disease depends on the type of dementia and where specifically it is affecting the brain. Nutrition, exercise, getting enough sleep, and whether or not a person has underlying medical conditions probably also affects how fast a person declines. #youngonsetalzheimers #youngonsetdementia
