huge respect to all of his teachers, but Snape is the one that kept him alive. He taught him his go to spell, and showed him how to prevent Voldemort from reaching into his mind. These are two of the things that Harry does the most to preserve his life and progress the story. if snape was not at Hogwarts, I truly don't know if Harry would have made it.
