I have a question. If Our memory works based on connections to ideas can you connect ideas you already know to ideas you're just learning? Like if you're studying one field can you forcefully or just try to find a connection to the idea, or even create new ideas in the process like An idea I already know + this idea I'm learning=creates this idea I know or don't know, so that idea you're learning is now either connected to 2 ideas or is able to create more and new ideas?

one of my pedology doctors (idk how its spelled) teached me to study in the day,then reread before sleeping,she also remembers a whole story word by word and she says she learned it and remember it by doing so.
